Jocelyn Odegard serves as secretary and plays clarinet for the Julien Winds. She has been with the Julien Winds since its inception as Julien Chamber Winds in the fall of 2014. Her music career started when she went to the University of Northern Iowa to study music education for two years. There, she studied clarinet with Jack Graham and Jason Weinberger and also started a woodwind quintet. After leaving the University of Northern Iowa, Jocelyn moved back to Dubuque and received her Bachelors of Business Administration and Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Dubuque.
Jocelyn is an active musician in the Dubuque community and at the University of Dubuque. In the last few years she has performed with various wind ensembles, chamber groups, jazz band, clarinet choir, and in several pit orchestras including Pippin, Memphis, Cabaret, and La Cage aux Folles. Jocelyn has also performed with the KKY/TBS National Intercollegiate Band in 2007 and CBDNA’s National Small College Intercollegiate Band in 2015.
